This role will focus on the procurement of steel and steel components for the U.S. market, requiring deep expertise in steel sourcing, deep understanding of cost drivers, pricing strategies, and global supply chain management. The successful candidate will have extensive experience navigating U.S. and international steel markets, including managing the complexities of trade regulations, tariffs, and antidumping duties. The ability to build and maintain relationships with steel mills, service centers, and key suppliers while ensuring compliance with import/export regulations is critical. Experience with cost modeling, supply-demand forecasting, and risk mitigation strategies in the steel industry is highly preferred.
The Sr. Sourcing Commodity Manager is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive Procurement Strategies that support both the Regional and Global objectives of ProDriven and its associated businesses. Independently, and in collaboration with other key stakeholders this position will oversee the deployment of category, contract and other advanced sourcing methodologies to manage mutual expectations and relationships, control risk and cost to the extent feasible, and contribute to organizational profitability/success. Additionally, this role is responsible for fostering and developing solid supplier relationships with the main objective to establish collaboration between the supply base and ProDriven. This individual will provide leadership in the development and deployment of best-in-class Procurement Practices across the assigned areas of responsibility. This position will play a key role in developing and mentoring a team of high performing Procurement professionals that support the region. The successful candidate will be a visionary procurement leader and change agent who will assist in the implementation of a global procurement strategy to frame the company's practices, policies, priorities and approaches to how the organization procures materials and services and raises its performance level.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Experience & Education:
Requires a bachelor's degree in a technical field, Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or work experience will be considered. A master's degree in business administration or other evidence of substantial business knowledge, such as the attainment of Certified Purchasing Management (CPM) certification is highly desirable.
At least 5 years of progressive experience in managing and/or leading Procurement teams in a large manufacturing company are required. Comprehensive professional experience with 10 or more years of Procurement experience is desirable with a successful track record of delivering results
Solid Subject matter expertise on Steel & Derivatives sourcing is a must.

Salary Range:
$110,000 - $160,000
The pay range listed is for Illinois based roles. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the pay range. Specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skill sets, qualifications, experience, education, certifications, training, and location.
