The Role: Sr Solutions Architect

We are seeking a Sr. Solutions Architect - Datacenter to support IL, WI, and MN. This pre-sales role involves leading the discovery of customer business objectives and translating them into effective datacenter solutions.

Your primary responsibilities include selling and architecting compute, storage, virtualization, and cloud solutions from vendors like Dell/EMC, Pure, Cisco, VMware, Nutanix, AWS, and Azure. You will lead activities such as proposal development, proof-of-concept creation, demonstrations, and architecture design sessions. Additionally, you'll author statements of work for professional services related to datacenter solutions.

Travel Requirements

Expected travel up to 25-30%. The role is based in Chicago, IL; Minneapolis, MN; Milwaukee, WI; or Madison, WI.

Responsibilities include:

1. Position as a trusted advisor, understanding customer requirements and business needs.
2. Providing solution recommendations and strategies.
3. Partnering with vendor relationships to build expertise.
4. Creating functional designs and reference architectures.
5. Designing technical solutions addressing availability, scalability, security, and performance.
6. Delivering technical artifacts, including drawings and diagrams.
7. Conducting customer-facing demonstrations.
8. Collaborating on technical solutions to improve Presidio's offerings.
9. Staying current on technical developments.
10. Interacting with sales teams to build solutions.
11. Supporting customer assessments for design and implementation.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years designing complex datacenter solutions.
• 3+ years in mid-market and enterprise environments.
• Experience with Cisco UCS, Dell, and Pure storage.
• Basic networking knowledge.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware vSphere, Nutanix).
• Knowledge of operating systems like Windows Server and Red Hat Linux.
• Understanding storage fundamentals.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Presales or systems integrator experience.
• AWS and/or Azure experience.
• Knowledge of automation tools and container orchestration.
• Experience with observability tools and data protection solutions.
