Job summary

Databricks is seeking a seasoned Solutions Architect to drive customer engagement strategies and lead high-impact engagements across the cloud ecosystem. You will coach teams, influence executives, and craft technical solutions using the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.

The role requires hands-on coding experience (Python/Java/Scala), PoCs, and cloud proficiency, with up to 30% travel. This is a senior pre-sales position within a dynamic, customer-focused team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of customer-facing technical experience.
• Proven ability to engage in complex customer interactions and sales lifecycle in a technical pre-sales capacity.
• Ability to influence decision-makers and C-level executives by developing relationships and orchestrating teams to achieve long-term customer success.
• Experience with coding in a core programming language (Python, Java, Scala) and willingness to learn Spark.
• Hands-on expertise with complex proofs-of-concept and public cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer engagement strategies in partnership with Account Executive(s) in your designated territory.
• Coach junior Solutions Architects and teams on use case prioritization and building technical champions.
• Influence stakeholders at all levels through complex engagements with the wider cloud ecosystem and 3rd party applications.
• Be a 'champion’ for both customers and colleagues, acting as an expert solution architect and trusted advisor for data analytics architecture, design, and adoption of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
• Contribute to Databricks' technical community engagement by developing customer-facing collateral and leading workshops, seminars, and meet-ups.

What we look for:

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents the expected salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks anticipates utilizing the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
