Job Summary

Leads solution design architectures for multiple applications, mapping business requirements to high-level designs that encompass technologies, services, and products. Designs, describes, and manages solutions by collaborating with various delivery teams and other IT units such as Enterprise Architecture, Security, and Infrastructure. Provides technical expertise to development teams on patterns and best practices. Works closely with Enterprise Architects to create technical roadmaps and guidelines.

Job Duties

  1. Lead the creation and solution design of architectures for project delivery, development, and support.
  2. Provide technical guidance to development teams on projects and initiatives.
  3. Guide development teams on technical patterns and best practices.
  4. Map business capabilities to technical solutions and modules.
  5. Develop technical roadmaps for applications.
  6. Translate business and technical requirements into architectural blueprints and design specifications, ensuring adherence to enterprise standards and security best practices.
  7. Collaborate with other architects (e.g., Business Architects) and enterprise/domain architects to ensure solutions are optimized and aligned with strategic goals. Some collaboration may be offshore.
  8. Lead the integration of IT systems to meet organizational requirements.
  9. Conduct periodic system architecture evaluations and collaborate with project management and IT development teams to improve architecture.
  10. Evaluate project constraints to identify alternatives, mitigate risks, and re-engineer solutions if necessary.
  11. Update stakeholders on architecture-related issues.
  12. Resolve technical issues as they arise.
  13. Maintain a good understanding of enterprise tools and organizational processes.
  14. Possess experience within the Healthcare Domain.
  15. Analyze the business impact of technical decisions on client processes.
  16. Research emerging technologies and propose enhancements to existing architecture.
  17. Create, maintain, and improve procedures, processes, and system designs.
  18. Mentor and guide development teams.

Job Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Services, or related IT field.

Required Experience:

  • At least 6 years as a Solution Architect or Lead Architect managing enterprise systems.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Healthcare Business Processes.
  • At least 3 years experience with complex vendor integrations and Cloud solutions.
  • Experience with full stack development and deployment.
  • Knowledge of Microservice and API strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting, ReactJS, NodeJS.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize SQL queries and address performance bottlenecks.
  • Understanding of security standards including encryption, web tokens, Single Sign-On, API security.
  • Experience with DevOps and DevSecOps strategies.
  • Knowledge of Web N-Tier Architecture and design patterns.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Development skills and application performance tuning.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and business-technical connection understanding.
  • Risk management capabilities.
  • Ability to advise management and engineering teams on business analysis, project management, IT architecture, cloud development, and software design.
  • Deep understanding of business operations and how technical solutions impact them.
  • Experience ensuring systems comply with legal and regulatory mandates.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree (Master’s or higher).
  • Experience with Microsoft Cloud solutions.
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Healthcare-specific EDI and ETL experience.
  • TOGAF certification.
  • Experience with tools such as Edifecs, Salesforce, Sitecore, MuleSoft, Apigee, QNXT.
