Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Software System Designer to research, design, develop, and test electronic components, software, and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.

Job Role and Responsibility

AMD, Inc., is hiring Sr. Software System Designer to Research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components, software, and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing. Design a complete and complex framework, system, or product. Define processes for technical platforms, system and software specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility. Conceive system interfaces and software application prototypes. Identify, analyze and resolve system design weaknesses. Influence the shaping of future products by contributing to the framework (architecture) used across multiple products or systems. Provide multi-layered technical expertise for next generation initiatives. Implement virtualization features. Evaluate and implement protection features for server platforms. Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products.
