Sr. Software Quality Engineer - Kohler Ventures

Work Mode:Hybrid

Location:Hybrid, 3 days/week onsite in Palo Alto, CA or NYC

In your role as Senior Software QA Engineer at Kohler Ventures you will:

• Work directly with the Head of Software, software/hardware engineering team, and product teams.
• Build the forward-looking vision and lead the effort to ensure the entire development lifecycle takes a quality first approach.
• Help deploy and integrate test automation into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Establish testing patterns, best practices, and increase test coverage (in partnership with engineers).
• Conduct technical reviews for new features and identify quality concerns.
• Participate in various scrum meetings to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, estimates or potential problems.

Skills/Requirements

Required Qualifications

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Software QA Engineer, at least 3 years in mobile.
• Experience with functional, regression, and end to end testing.
• Experience with some of test automation tools/frameworks such as Appium, Espresso or XCUI.
• Experience validating iOS and Android systems and devices.
• Ability to translate business requirements into test plan and develop test automations at all layers.
• Minimal travel both domestic and international as needed.
• Availability to work outside of standard businesshours to be able to collaboratewith teams and vendors across multipletime zones.
• Development experience in Python.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge in software and hardware/firmware and information security for cloud and IoT devices.
• Experience in development using script programming language

The approved base salary range for this position is $115,100 - $143,850. The actual base salary offered to a candidate may be higher than the approved range. This will vary depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. This position is subject to Area Salary Differential (Cost of Living Adjustment) that ranges from 24.5%-30% of base salary for the San Francisco Bay area. The approved base salary range including ASD for this position is $149,630 - $187,005 depending on location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and a special project incentive. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision and 401k.
