RTX in Massachusetts is seeking a Senior Software Integration and Test (SWIT) Engineer to join the Ground & Maritime Defense Radar Software – 2 Department in Tewksbury. You will lead integration, testing, and validation of LTAMDS software across platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, automate, and release software.

This onsite role requires a BS in STEM with 5+ years of experience and a DoD Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 5+ years of experience in software integration/testing.
  • Experience integrating software for embedded or real-time systems.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Software Integration and Test (SWIT) Engineer to join the Ground & Maritime Defense Radar Software – 2 Department in Tewksbury, Massachusetts.In this role, you will be responsible for the integration, testing, and validation of LTAMDS software products across various platforms, ensuring that they meet functional and performance requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and automate testing processes, identify defects, and support software releases. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a cutting-edge project that integrates software with advanced systems.

What You Will Do
  • Integrate software from multiple upstream development teams onto target hardware.
  • Integrate software components with each other.
  • Integrate software with the RHEL9 OS and FPGAs.
  • Collaborate closely with systems integration teams to verify that the system meets the required specifications.
  • Create an automation pipeline to streamline the integration of upstream software releases, aligning LTAMDS Software System releases with the value stream.
  • Build -> Deploy -> Test -> Release
  • Develop tools and processes based on industry standards and frameworks, such as Artifactory, Gitlab, Grafana, Infrastructure as Code, XML, JSON, and Markdown.
  • Develop tools to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring of hardware test environments.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Experience performing software integration and testing for embedded or real-time systems.
  • Experience developing automation pipelines using industry tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo, or Travis
  • Experience in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for the development of automation tools and test frameworks.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies (functional, integration, regression, performance, etc.) and best practices
  • Experience developing C++ real time software systems
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to identify and document any anomalies or inconsistencies in software performance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively diagnose and address issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively report defects, progress, and test results to stakeholders.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided
