Qualifications

  • Experience with Python and C++.
  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience OR advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include embedded software, real-time systems, imaging, mapping, or medical device platforms; familiarity with software quality processes and regulatory frameworks; agile development; leadership in multi-contributor software organizations.

Senior Engineering Manager, Software Development

The Senior Engineering Manager, Software Development will lead a team responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software for the Affera mapping system. This role will provide technical leadership, people management, and cross-functional execution oversight to deliver safe, high-quality, and innovative software solutions that support product performance, regulatory compliance, and business objectives. The ideal candidate will have deep experience leading software engineering teams in a regulated environment, with strong expertise in software architecture, product development, testing methodologies, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Experience supporting fielded products, sustaining engineering, and post-market software issues.

Benefits & Compensation
  • Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$175,200.00 - $262,800.00
  • This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
  • The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California.
  • The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
