Job summary

Standard Template Labs is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Workflows team in New York. You will design and build scalable backend services powering workflow execution and orchestration, collaborating with product and design to deliver intuitive experiences.

You’ll own critical components and drive reliability and scalability across the platform. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of backend experience with Go, Python, or Java, and a strong grasp of distributed, cloud-native architectures

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Workflows team.

You’ll build the platform that powers workflow automation across our product—from employee onboarding and access requests to incident response, approvals, and infrastructure operations. Working closely with Product and Design, you’ll help create a flexible workflow engine that enables customers to automate complex business processes while integrating AI where it adds meaningful value.

This is a highly collaborative, hands-on backend engineering role with significant ownership and technical influence.
