Job summary

Milwaukee Tool seeks a self-motivated software engineer to design, develop and deploy sustainable solutions across the full software lifecycle in a hybrid Downtown Milwaukee setting.

You will analyze requirements, write clean C#/.NET code, test and troubleshoot, and collaborate in Agile squads using Scrum or Kanban, with opportunities to work on AWS-based microservices and modern frontend tech like React/Angular.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of related experience.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years designing, developing, deploying microservices to AWS.
• AWS Certified Developer (Preferred).
• Experience with .NET, C#, MS SQL Server, MySQL.
• Experience with Git source control and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy sustainable software solutions across the full SDLC.
• Analyze requirements, write clean code, test, and troubleshoot.
• Collaborate in Agile teams, participate in code reviews and deployments.
• Support end users and maintain documentation.

Your Role on Our Team:

Self-motivated developer with a demonstrated background designing, developing and deploying sustainable solutions that delivers all aspects of the software development lifecycle including analysis, designing, coding, testing, troubleshooting and supporting software to meet or exceed specified standards and end-user requirements.

The TOOLS You'll Bring With You

• Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems (or related field), or 4+ years of related experience
• Requires strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Requires experience working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices to AWS
• AWS Certified Developer(Preferred)
• Experience with object-oriented and protocol-oriented design methodologies
• Experience working with agile methodology such as Scrum or Kanban
• Experience working on a product team or squad
• Experience with git source control and team code reviews
• Experience with .NET - Proficient in Framework 4.5+, C# MS SQL Server, MySQL
• Terraform or any Infrastructure as a Code tools
• Experience in React, Angular and Tailwind CSS a plus
• Experience in using or willingness to learn AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code
