This role includes approximately 15% travel to support commissioning at customer sites.

We'll count on your reliability, creativity, and commitment to learning to solve complex problems and follow through. Your service-minded approach will help strengthen our team and deliver successful outcomes for our customers.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Partner with the VP of Software to help develop and execute software product strategies and the product roadmap.
  • Design, develop, and improve DATUM to support customer needs and continued product growth.
  • Provide full stack design and development across an event-driven microservices architecture.
  • Use modern open-source frameworks to build backend services, integrations, AI capabilities, and user interfaces.
  • Lead design and development activities for customer projects and research and development initiatives using Agile development and testing practices.
  • Mentor entry-level and mid-level developers and Software Delivery team members.
  • Support the Software Delivery team with integrated system commissioning at customer sites, with approximately 15% travel.
  • Contribute across development, implementation, support, and IT activities as team and project needs require.
  • Evaluate organizational performance data to identify improvement opportunities and help adapt team practices.
  • Support technical innovation and continuous learning by staying current on relevant technologies and industry developments.
  • Represent DCS and the Software team with professionalism, ethics, and integrity.
We're Excited About You Because...
  • You have five or more years of experience in industrial software development.
  • You have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • You have experience with open-source software frameworks and related development tools.
  • You're comfortable using the Linux command line and working with operating system services and configurations.
  • You're proficient with modern integrated development environments, Git for source control, Microsoft Office, and project management platforms such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • You're willing and able to travel approximately 15% to support customer commissioning.
  • You enjoy sharing your expertise, mentoring others, and helping grow the DCS Software team.
  • You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with customers, management, and teams across disciplines.
