As a Senior Software Engineer for Lowe’s Store Merchandise Execution Team, you will use your expertise to guide and support your team in developing and successfully implementing complex software solutions. You’ll support your team throughout the software development process, develop and deliver code modules, and contribute to integrated software solutions across various computing environments.

Innovate in Charlotte

This role is based at our on-site Tech Hub in Charlotte, North Carolina, featuring modern workspaces, cutting-edge technology, and amenities like a barista and Zen Garden.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into program designs and software solutions, implementing and maintaining complex enterprise applications.
2. Develop and modify applications across various environments, primarily using Java (75%) and React (25%).
3. Test applications using test-driven and behavior-driven frameworks to ensure quality and efficiency.
4. Conduct root cause analysis and code reviews, optimize application performance, and implement CI/CD processes with DevOps tools.
5. Build reusable libraries to enhance cross-team productivity, ensuring successful deployment, with expertise in Java, frameworks, databases, APIs, cloud services, version control, and front-end development using ReactJS and Redux.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience) and 5 years of software development experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in frontend technologies, middleware, database technologies, or DevOps.
• At least 4 years of experience with SDLC and agile development projects.

Preferred Skills/Education

• Master's degree in computer science, CIS, or related field.
• 4 years of experience in technical documentation, business systems development, and source code control.
• Experience with ITIL, defect tracking, web services, and middleware.
• Experience in systems analysis and high-level design for complex solutions.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, frontend, middleware, database technologies, and DevOps.
