Job summary

Early Warning Services, LLC ("Early Warning") seeks a Software Engineer to develop, document, test, debug, and maintain software product applications. You will collaborate with the team to deliver on the backlog, building secure software and enhancing core product offerings.

Responsibilities include designing complex features, managing Git-based workflows, querying data with SQL, and contributing to a CI/CD pipeline with automated tests. Strong communication and DevOps familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years direct experience in Software Engineering or related field.
• Spring / Spring Boot framework is required.
• Recent experience with AWS Cloud.
• Experience with Python, Spark or PySpark.
• Proficient with SQL.
• Familiarity with modern DevOps practices.
• Proficient with Git source control and Git flow branching model.
• Familiarity writing automated tests.
• Proficient in RESTful service design.
• Experience with Docker/ Kubernetes.
• Experience with Kafka.
• Excellent written and spoken communication.
• Background and drug screen.

• Education and/ or experience typically obtained through completion of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Science Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

• Familiar working with common data format standards like XML, JSON, YAML, etc.
• NoSQL experience (Redis, HBASE, AeroSpike, etc.)
• FinTech experience is highly beneficial

Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.

The Base Pay Scale For This Position In

Phoenix, AZ/ Chicago, IL / Washington, DC in USD per year is: $118,000 - $152,000.

Additionally, candidates are eligible for a discretionary incentive plan and benefits.
