What you will work on?

As a Software Engineer in Product you will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders on the continued evolution in the Infrastructure, products and systems design and development. You will join an experienced team of engineers and collaborate with algorithm and UI product managers to influence product direction. You will partner with algorithm, infrastructure, and UI teams and provide leadership on cross-functional projects.

Job requirements

Responsibilities

• Full stack web/mobile application development with a variety of coding languages
• Deliver on multiple projects of increasing complexity in an ambiguous or high-impact area over time
• Improve technical quality both through directly driving improvements, creating new tools and processes and giving feedback to others
• Provide technical leadership to the team and contribute to product vision, collaborate across web data platform teams, and contribute to engineering excellence to reduce and mitigate issues quickly and effectively.
• Work effectively with cross functional partners and stakeholders to define and influence product roadmap

Minimum Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering work experience, including hands-on experience building web based software solution, API design, and interactions between servers and clients
• Deep knowledge around AWS or Azure, distributed architecture, DevOps and related tools
• Proven track record architecting and developing robust and extensible solutions
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing and debugging Node.js applications in a large-scale production environment
• Knowledgeable in deploying to and monitoring applications in AWS or other cloud infrastructure
• Experience with other tools we use: AWS services, TypeScript, Docker, Jest and ESLint
• Experience with GitHub, Docker, Terraform, Mongo, Elasticsearch and/or AWS
• Experience with datastores like Mongo, Elasticsearch and Redis
• Experience with continuous deployment and automated testing practices
