Job summary

Addepar is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to join their Portfolio Data Workflows team in Poland. You will maintain and evolve critical services that drive the financial data ecosystem while modernizing the architecture.

Your role will involve contributing to a modern service-based architecture and collaborating within a cross-functional high-performing team. Candidates must be experienced in Java, SQL, and AWS, and have a strong understanding of distributed systems.

Job description

We’re seeking a Sr. Software Engineer for our Portfolio Data Workflows team in Poland. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of maintaining and evolving critical services that power our financial data ecosystem, while helping to modernize our architecture.

Our team is focused on building outstanding user experiences, powerful APIs, and sophisticated analysis tools for our global customer base of Financial Advisors and Wealth Managers.

You’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of our platform by implementing robust solutions that scale across multiple regions, enhance user experiences, and establish processes for maintaining core functionality for our platform at scale.

Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the country where this role is based on the first day of employment. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

What You’ll Do
  • Contribute to our long-term vision for achieving a modern, service-based architecture
  • Be part of a high-performing, cross-functional team
  • Own front to back software features from inception through delivery
  • Contribute to architecture designs, product roadmaps, and code reviews
  • Analyse and dive deep into a complex and powerful ecosystem, understanding. requirements, determining optimal approaches and driving change
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues across the entire application stack
  • Collaborate effectively with other engineers, product managers and stakeholders
  • Mentor and set the bar for an impactful team working in the core of Addepar
Who You Are
  • You have extensive experience in software development in a professional environment
  • Experience building services with Java, SQL and AWS
  • Experience of frontend frameworks like Ember, Angular or React.
  • Understanding of REST, service-based architecture, and distributed systems
  • A rapid learner with robust analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • A curious person, who enjoys digging deep into requirements and handling complexity
  • Demonstrable knowledge of using AI in a professional engineering environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to the best software development practices
  • Interest or experience in the financial industry or wealth management
