Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience with TCP/IP networks and CORE network emulation.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or C++ for software development.
• Strong Linux command line and debugging skills.
• Experience with network monitoring tools (Wireshark, tcpdump).

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate a network emulation testbed that tests the performance of end-to-end software and hardware systems in a challenged environment.
• Debug problems with the testbed, propose solutions, and implement fixes.
• Assist technical staff in preparing reports for government officials and senior stakeholders on experimental findings.
• Design, code, debug, and maintain software applications.
• Perform software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, system risk analysis, and software reliability analysis.
• Support software modeling and simulation, software testing, quality assurance, performance tuning, automation, and system integration.
• Support, maintain, and document software functionality.
• Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation.
• Maintain software standards compliance.
