Job summary

Deckers Brands in the US seeks a Sr Software Engineer to shape the digital experience for UGG’s US/Canada sites. You’ll lead UI design, development, and implementation of high-performing, accessible components, mentoring juniors and coordinating with stakeholders.

In a Scrum environment, you’ll deliver reusable code, integrate third-party APIs, and ensure consistency across desktop and mobile interfaces while upholding ADA/WCAG standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of front-end development in e-commerce or consumer-facing environments.
• Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, CSS and modern web tooling.
• Experience with React, Bootstrap or Vue and API integrations.
• Strong knowledge of web standards including ADA and WCAG.
• Experience mentoring teammates in a SCRUM/Agile setting.

Responsibilities

Your Impact

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise software applications and integrations for UGG’s digital platforms.
• Implement technical requirements within specified timeframes, ensuring quality and reliability.
• Develop reusable code components for company websites, enhancing efficiency and consistency.
• Integrate third‑party APIs and functions to expand site capabilities and features.
• Work collaboratively in a Scrum/Agile environment, providing accurate estimations and participating in daily standups and sprint planning.
• Guide and mentor junior team members, sharing best practices for coding, UI, and design, and assisting with complex tasks.

Who You Are

• Experienced front‑end developer with 5+ years in e‑commerce or consumer‑facing environments.
• Skilled in web development for desktop and mobile, including HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and related technologies.
• Proficient with frameworks such as React, Bootstrap, and Vue.
• Strong understanding of web standards, including ADA and WCAG.
• Knowledgeable in website integrations, APIs, and widgets.
• Experienced with content management systems and working in a SCRUM/Agile environment.
• Committed to mentoring others and setting a high standard for performance and collaboration.
• Holds a diploma or equivalent in Computer Science or Web Development; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
