In this role, you will own delivery, quality, and the growth of your team while partnering closely with product and technology leadership to build the award‑winning products we offer our clients. Our Engineering Managers are hands‑on technical leaders who bring both strategic vision and the willingness to dig into the details alongside their team.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the day‑to‑day execution and operations of an engineering team, ensuring high‑quality delivery, strong ownership, and predictable outcomes
  • Manage and support team members through all aspects of people leadership, including performance management, career development, and feedback
  • Partner closely with Product and Design to define priorities, shape roadmaps, and deliver customer‑centric solutions aligned to business goals
  • Own delivery outcomes for your team—balancing speed, quality, and sustainability while managing dependencies and risks
  • Coach and develop engineers and technical leads, helping them grow both technically and professionally
  • Provide technical leadership by guiding architectural decisions, promoting sound engineering practices, and supporting design discussions across services and systems
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence within the team
  • Collaborate with peer engineering managers and cross‑functional stakeholders to align on priorities and drive cohesive, scalable solutions
  • Champion modern engineering practices, including cloud‑native development, observability, and automated testing
  • Ensure systems are reliable, scalable, and well‑instrumented, with strong focus on performance and operational visibility
  • Support and evolve team processes, including Agile ceremonies, planning, and delivery practices
  • Empower Lead Engineers to mentor others, scale knowledge, and elevate technical execution across the team
What You’ll Need
  • 10+ years of experience building and delivering software, with strong background in modern web applications and distributed systems
  • 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams, including direct people management responsibilities
  • Deep experience with cloud‑native architectures and building scalable, resilient services
  • Strong experience with backend and API‑driven systems (e.g., REST, GraphQL, event‑driven architectures)
  • Experience working with modern frontend technologies (e.g., TypeScript‑based frameworks)
  • Hands‑on experience with technologies such as Java/Spring, relational databases (e.g., Postgres), and distributed systems tools (e.g., Kafka, Redis)
  • Experience deploying and operating applications in cloud environments (preferably AWS), including containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code and deployment tooling (e.g., Helm, Argo, Ansible)
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD practices and automated testing strategies
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment and drive clarity amid ambiguity
  • Proven ability to hire, grow, and retain high‑performing engineering teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
Preferred Skills
  • Experience building and operating SaaS platforms at scale
  • Familiarity with secure application design, identity, and access management (e.g., Okta)
  • Experience with modern UI frameworks (Vue.js preferred)
  • Background in healthcare technology, data platforms, or revenue cycle management
  • Experience leading teams working with event‑driven architectures and microservices
Benefits
  • Competitive total rewards (base salary + bonus, if applicable)
  • Customizable benefits package (3 medical plans with Health Saving Account company match)
  • Generous paid time off for non‑exempt team members, starting with 3 weeks + 13 paid holidays, including 2 personal floating holidays. Flexible time off for exempt team members + 13 paid holidays
  • Paid parental leave (including maternity + paternity leave)
