Senior Tier 3 Support Engineer

Location: Remote - Colombia

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Providing multi-level database troubleshooting and technical support to Tier 2 Client Support staff.
  2. Collaborating closely with Tier 2 support and acting as an interface between Tier 2 and product development, engineering, and third-party vendors.
  3. Working with Product Development and implementation teams to resolve client issues.
  4. Performing fault reproduction, troubleshooting, system characterization, root cause analysis, and bug tracking.
  5. Addressing software defects and complex customer issues promptly.
  6. Coordinating with QA, Development, and Operations teams to understand and resolve issues.
  7. Suggesting enhancements to existing algorithms and services.
  8. Communicating effectively with team members to ensure feature development without compromising other application areas.

The Candidate:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering preferred.
  • 4-7 years of experience in software development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with SQL database troubleshooting, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, and cloud platforms such as Azure DevOps.
  • Proficient in web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, XML, SOAP.
  • Knowledge of database structures and administration principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) at CEF B2 level or above.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of NLog, Application Insights, Hangfire, Azure File Storage, WCF Web Services, OData protocol.
  • Experience with web application security testing.
  • Agile and SCRUM methodologies.
  • Experience with SQL performance tuning and troubleshooting.
