Senior Tier 3 Support Engineer

Location: Remote - Colombia

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Provide multi-level database troubleshooting and technical support to Tier 2 Client Support staff.
  2. Collaborate closely with Tier 2 support staff and act as an interface between Tier 2 and product development, engineering, and third-party vendors.
  3. Work with product development and implementation teams to resolve client issues.
  4. Perform fault reproduction, troubleshooting, system characterization, root cause analysis, and bug tracking and resolution.
  5. Address software defects and complex customer issues promptly.
  6. Coordinate with QA, Development, and Operations teams to understand and resolve issues.
  7. Suggest enhancements to existing algorithms and services.
  8. Communicate effectively and collaborate with team members to develop features without compromising other application or product areas.
The Candidate
Required Skills and Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (preferred).
  2. 4-7 years of experience in software development.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams.
  5. Exceptional listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
  6. Experience writing stored procedures, functions, triggers, and troubleshooting issues in SQL databases.
  7. Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  8. Understanding of all phases of the SDLC.
  9. Knowledge of CI/CD processes using cloud platforms like Azure DevOps or similar.
  10. Proficiency in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, XML, SOAP).
  11. Understanding of database structures and administration principles.
  12. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  13. Fluency in written and spoken English at CEF B2 level or above.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  1. Knowledge of NLog, Application Insights, Hangfire, Azure File Storage, WCF Web Services, OData protocol.
  2. Experience with security testing of web applications.
  3. Agile and SCRUM methodologies experience.
  4. Experience troubleshooting and performance tuning SQL.
