Job summary

Globe Life is seeking a Sr. Software Developer in McKinney, TX, to join our team and help build scalable serverless architectures, REST APIs, and robust data solutions. The role is hybrid, with in-office collaboration Tue–Thu and WFH Mon & Fri.

You will design, develop, and optimize cloud-based applications using AWS services, and contribute to architectural decisions. A strong background in C# .NET, SQL Server/T-SQL, and experience with RESTful APIs is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a proven track record of delivering cloud-based solutions in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in C# .NET development, with preferred experience in ASP.NET Web Forms / MVC.
• Advanced SQL Server/T-SQL database development and optimization skills, with preferred experience in SSIS/SSRS and IICS Informatica.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services, including multiple services listed (Lambda, Aurora PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, IAM, Step Functions, EventBridge, API Gateway, SQS, SNS).
• Proficiency with GitHub for version control and Agile/Scrum methodologies; ability to work independently across multiple priorities.
• Preferred experience with Python programming and JIRA.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Role Overview

Could you be our next Sr. Software Developer? Globe Life is looking for a Sr. Software Developer to join the team!

In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable serverless architectures, REST APIs, and database solutions using SQL Server, Aurora PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB.

This is a hybrid position located in McKinney, TX. (WFH Monday & Friday, In Office Tuesday–Thursday).

What You Can Bring
