Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack – NYC Office

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack to join our New York City office. This role is part of Fitch Group Technology’s agile teams delivering world‑class software products for our BMI business.

What We Offer

Working in a hybrid environment, you’ll collaborate with a talented, collaborative team using a modern cloud‑based, containerized, serverless, microservices‑oriented technology stack. You’ll help define and implement processes that improve code quality and workflow efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy cloud‑native, container‑based financial applications.
• Develop new user experiences using React JS.
• Design, develop REST‑based API services with NodeJS/Python.
• Define and document best practices and strategies for application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
• Optimize components to work seamlessly across different browsers and devices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience designing and developing distributed application architecture of moderate‑to‑high complexity.
• 5+ years of experience with Nest JS, React JS, Open Search, C#, Docker.
• In‑depth knowledge of TypeScript, SCSS, HTML, and front‑end languages.
• Experience with React tools such as React Hooks, Redux/MobX/Recoil or other state‑management frameworks.
• Experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL and MSSQL.
• Experience working in Scrum, tracking sprint items in JIRA, and delivering on time.
• Knowledge of performance‑testing frameworks such as Mocha and Jest.
• Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems.
• Experience leading offshore teams.
• Experience working with multicultural global technology teams in the financial industry.
• Exceptionally self‑motivated, self‑directed, and detail‑oriented.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with AWS services including Dynamo DB, Neptune, Lambda, S3, and Document DB.
• Familiarity with modern data architecture and engineering technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Benefits and Compensation

Base salary range: $140,000 – $150,000 per year, plus potential commission, discretionary bonuses, and long‑term incentives. Full benefits package available.
