In This Role You Will:

• Provide technical leadership within an autonomous team of 5-7 engineers, a Product Manager, and UX support to enhance the Tackle platform.
• Address complex technical problems.
• Write scalable, testable, supportable, and maintainable code.
• Own your code from start to finish and take pride in your work.
• Participate actively in code reviews and troubleshooting.
• Lead mentorship initiatives for new and less experienced team members.
• Seek to understand how your work fits into the broader product and company goals.
• Embrace diverse perspectives and foster inclusivity.

You Should Have:

• 6+ years of experience developing modern, scalable backend services.
• 3+ years of professional experience with Go.
• Advanced skills in NoSQL database modeling with DynamoDB.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases like Postgres.
• Experience deploying applications within AWS, including API Gateway, Lambda, and Step-Functions.
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools such as AWS CDK or Terraform.
• Experience building RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of microservice event-driven architecture, preferably with Amazon Eventbridge.
• Fundamentals of type-driven development.
• Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs and deliver balanced solutions.
• Self-motivation and organizational skills.
• A positive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to thrive in a remote environment with asynchronous communication.
• Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

You Will Stand Out:

• Expertise in PostgreSQL and/or DynamoDB.
• Interest in leading architecture or testing guilds, emphasizing quality and design principles.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, especially CircleCI.
