Job summary

VetRamp is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead API and backend development for scalable platform services. This remote role supports a hybrid workforce with a 40-hour work week, reporting to the Engineering Manager.

The candidate should have 5+ years of backend experience, strong Python skills, and a proactive leadership mindset. Key stack includes Python, AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch), Linux, Terraform, and relational/non-relational databases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering production software.

The Platform API team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer reporting to the Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of professional experience with an emphasis on APIs and backend services. This person is proactive, capable of quickly introducing new pragmatic designs and providing strong leadership on technical direction to take. They've seen frameworks come and go but know that good design and readable code trumps the flavor of the week. This is a remote role supporting a hybrid workforce in an estimated 40 hours per week.
