Job summary

Comcast is seeking a technically skilled engineer to lead a team responsible for the Ops Automation Platform. You will develop front-end and back-end software using React, TypeScript, Go, Python, and related tools, while setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana.

The role includes mentoring junior engineers, documenting designs and requirements, and collaborating with stakeholders. Remote-friendly, with some on-site days as policy allows.

Qualifications

• 5 years backend software development using Go, Python, Gin, Go modules, pip, Go testing and Pytest.
• 3 years frontend development with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, React, Angular, Vue.js, Redux, Vuex, Webpack, Babel.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration; AWS knowledge.
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Github; manage large-scale clusters with Ansible and Terraform.
• Monitor services with Prometheus and Grafana.

Provide technical leadership to a team responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the Ops Automation Platform; develop front‑end software using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, React, Angular, Vue.js, Redux, Vuex, Webpack, and Babel; develop back‑end software using Golang, Python, Gin, Go modules, pip, Go testing, and Pytest; perform container orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker; work with Cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP; use AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and VPC; design and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Github, and ArgoCD; manage large‑scale clusters using Ansible and Terraform; monitor and manage services using Prometheus and Grafana; support applications under development and customize current applications; assist with the software update process for existing applications, and roll‑outs of software releases; analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications; document all development activity; research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects; collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements; conduct analysis to determine integration needs; work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements; and guide and mentor junior‑level engineers. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and five (5) years of experience developing back‑end software using Golang, Python, Gin, Go modules, pip, Go testing, and Pytest; performing container orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker; of which three (3) years include developing front‑end software using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, React, Angular, Vue.js, Redux, Vuex, Webpack, and Babel; working with Cloud platforms including AWS; using AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and VPC; designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, and Github; and managing large‑scale clusters using Ansible and Terraform; of which one (1) year includes monitoring and managing services using Prometheus and Grafana.
