FreeWheel, a Comcast company, is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer for the Ad Serving team in Denver. You will design, build, and own high-quality software that drives the DSP bidding and ad serving platform used across billions of auctions daily.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with management, and contribute to scalable, cloud-based systems using C++ and modern tools.

This role requires strong English communication, debugging skills, and an ability to work across complex environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience with compiled languages (C++ preferred).
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
• Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting abilities.

Job Summary

The Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for developing software solutions for the Ad Serving team at FreeWheel.
The Ad Serving system is the backbone of FreeWheel’s demand side platform (DSP) advertising business. It listens to billions of ad auctions per day, decides which of our hundreds of customers should participate, and executes complex bidding strategies to provide optimal results – in milliseconds.

The Sr. Software Engineer is expected to:

The Sr Software Engineer must be able to:

• Monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects
• Collaborate with project stakeholders toidentifyproduct and technical requirements; conduct analysis todetermineintegration needs
• Work with the Quality Assurance team todetermineif applications fit specification and technical requirements
• Review code
• Disseminate software best practices.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular,consistentand punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s)andovertimeas necessary.

Compensation

Virginia Pay Range: $141,850.78 - $212,776.16

This job can be performed in Denver Campus with a Pay Range of $135,683.35 - $212,776.16

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later.
