JOB TITLE: Senior Software Engineer

LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle Eden Prairie, MN 55344

DUTIES

• Design, develop, and modify highly specialized computer applications to enhance Optum user efficiency and support business success.
• Ensure applications meet privacy and security standards according to internal policies and industry regulations.
• Create high-performance enhancements addressing specific customer goals.
• Design and implement new features, including integration with emerging technologies.
• Follow Optum’s software development lifecycle protocols, managing project priorities and raising risks appropriately.
• Improve application functionality, reliability, testability, availability, latency, scalability, and efficiency.
• Adhere to version control, release management, and deployment protocols.
• Ensure accessibility for users with disabilities.
• Facilitate quality assurance processes, including user acceptance testing, issue resolution, and reporting.
• Collaborate with users to extend and enhance applications, providing post-deployment support.
• Respond promptly to production issues.

Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in:
