This position will be remote within the United States.

Job Summary
Join a talented, collaborative team of software engineers dedicated to delivering best-in-class solutions for dental practices. As a Sr Software Engineer, you'll play a key role in the maintenance and enhancement evolution of our Dentrix Enterprise Practice Management System, a mission-critical Windows desktop application used by thousands of dental professionals. You'll contribute both technically and strategically - designing feature enhancements, improving performance, and mentoring peers.

Due to contractual agreements with our customer(s), the person who fills this role is required to be a US Citizen and undergo additional background clearance requirements.

What You Will Do

• Enhance and maintain Dentrix Enterprise software by eliminating bugs and feature enhancement
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Solve complex problems with creativity, curiosity, and technical knowledge
• Apply object-oriented design, refactoring, and clean architecture principles to deliver maintainable, high-quality code
• Utilize Test Driven Development (TDD) where possible and mentor others in best practices
• Lead by example in code reviews and technical discussions

Travel/Physical Demands

• Travel typically less than 10%
• Office environment with no special physical demands required

• Languages & Frameworks: C# and .NET Framework (required); C, C++, and .NET Core (bonus)
• Frontend: WPF and WinForms (required)

Qualifications

What You Will Have

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciencepreferred or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience building backend software utilizing our technology stack
• Understanding of domain-driven design and working in Agile environments
• A passion for crafting maintainable, efficient, and high-performing software
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to share knowledge and mentor peers
• Active Public Trust Security Clearance or higher is preferred. If you do not possess one youmust be willing to undergo the clearance process upon receiving a job offer.

The posted range for this position is$90,000 - $125,000which is the expected starting salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a bonus target not reflected in the range.
