Expert Technology Services in West Los Angeles, CA (hybrid, remote to start) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Platform Team to design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs, with a strong emphasis on automated testing and AI-assisted development.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of software engineering, deep C#, REST APIs, and experience in CI/CD, DevOps, cloud (AWS/Azure), and observability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in C# and RESTful API design.
• Experience with automated testing: Postman, SpecFlow, Cucumber.
• End-to-end test automation for APIs, batch processing, big data.
• Cloud experience with AWS and Azure.
• Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.

Job Summary for Senior Software Engineer

Position:

Senior Software Engineer, Platform Team

Location:

Hybrid (minimum 3 days/week onsite in West Los Angeles, CA; remote to start)

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain automated testing (unit, integration, smoke tests) to ensure software quality and reduce production risks.
• Integrate automated testing and quality gates into CI/CD workflows for reliable software releases.
• Design and develop backend services and APIs to support platform operations, including DevOps pipelines and system integrations.
• Collaborate with QA, Security, and Infrastructure teams for seamless deployment and optimal performance.
• Operate within an AI-driven software development lifecycle (SDLC) and leverage AI code assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot).
• Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions to meet SLA requirements and enable rapid incident response.
• Support platform releases through validation, monitoring, and post-deployment oversight.
• Contribute to engineering best practices and promote knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Proficiency in C#
• Strong experience with automation testing tools (e.g., PostMan, Bruno, SpecFlow, Cucumber)
• End-to-end test automation experience covering APIs, batch processing, and big data validation
• Deep understanding of RESTful API design, OAuth2, and microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS and Azure (including Azure Cosmo DB with AI Search)
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, TeamCity, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD)
• Knowledge of container orchestration and observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus)
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
• Familiarity with release automation and platform observability
