Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking candidates pursuing or who have completed a master's degree in related fields to contribute to embedded software for real-time control of advanced tactical radio equipment.

You will work with cross-disciplinary teams across hardware and software disciplines, applying CS, engineering, and mathematical analysis throughout the software life cycle and documenting results. A security-clearance-eligible background is preferred, with compliant screening where required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a master's degree or completed within the last 12 months in CS, CE, SE, EE, Wireless Eng, Info Security, Math, or related discipline.
• Experience applying CS, engineering, and mathematical analysis principles to software development.
• Familiarity with embedded software development for real-time systems and advanced tactical radio equipment.
• Hands-on exposure to languages and technologies such as C, C#, Java, Ruby, HTML5, XML, SQL, Perl, Python, Ajax, and Qt.
• Experience across Windows, Linux, mobile platforms, and embedded RTOS (VxWorks, QNX, Integrity, Windows CE).
• Knowledge of hardware/software interface design, system-level performance requirements, and processor architectures (Motorola, Intel, TI, and custom designs).
• Ability to meet eligibility standards for security clearance and compliance with background checks where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Apply CS, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts to develop software for the target application.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define and evaluate hardware/software interfaces and overall system design.
• Support all stages of the software development life cycle including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing of embedded software.
• Develop software test procedures, software applications, and related technical documentation.
• Use modeling tools and test equipment to gather operating data, run experiments, and interpret results.
• Participate in peer reviews and actively identify, track, and resolve defects.
