Job summary

Foureyes, a remote-first software company serving the automotive dealership space, is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer. You will design, build, and maintain cloud-based applications powering our platform and work closely with engineering and product teams across multiple tech stacks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with modern programming languages and frameworks (Python/Java/React/TypeScript).
• Experience building cloud-native apps on AWS (Lambda, S3, RDS).
• Experience with SQL, relational DBs, Git workflows, and IaC (AWS CDK, Terraform).
• Experience with observability tools (Datadog, CloudWatch).
• Interest in AI-assisted development and tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot).
• Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, Bedrock Agents) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle including design, implementation, testing, code review, deployment, and production support.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to deliver new capabilities and resolve production issues.

• Design and evolve RESTful APIs and event-driven services focused on scalability, security, reliability, and DX.
• Build resilient distributed systems emphasizing performance, fault tolerance, and maintainability.
• Thoroughly test your own code and review peers' work to ensure end-to-end quality.

The Position

As a Software Engineer at Foureyes, you'll build, enhance, and maintain the cloud-based applications that power our platform. You'll collaborate closely with engineering and product while contributing across multiple products and technology stacks.

Responsibilities

Design, build, test, deploy, monitor, and support software across multiple products, moving comfortably between diverse technology stacks as business needs evolve.

Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including technical design, implementation, testing, code review, deployment, and production support.

Partner with product managers and engineers to deliver new capabilities, resolve production issues, and continuously improve our systems.

Write clean, maintainable code, automated tests, and technical documentation.

Design and evolve RESTful APIs and event-driven services with a focus on scalability, security, reliability, and developer experience.

Build resilient distributed systems that prioritize performance, fault tolerance, and maintainability.

Thoroughly test your own code and review and test code written by fellow engineers to ensure end-to-end quality.

Qualifications

We're looking for engineers who are adaptable, collaborative, and customer-focused. Ideal candidates will have:

Minimum 5 years of experience with one or more modern programming languages and frameworks such as Python, Java, React, or TypeScript.

Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS using services such as Lambda, S3, RDS, or similar.

Experience with SQL, relational databases, Git-based development workflows, and infrastructure as code using AWS CDK, Terraform, or similar tools.

Experience monitoring and troubleshooting production systems using observability platforms such as Datadog, Amazon CloudWatch, or similar tools.

Enthusiasm for AI-assisted software development and an interest in using tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar to improve engineering productivity.

Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or Amazon Bedrock Agents, is a plus.

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly learn new technologies while contributing across multiple products and codebases.

Education and Experience:

You have a strong academic record (CS degree preferred but not required with relevant experience)

You have a minimum of 3-5 years of professional full-stack development experience (6+ years for a Sr. SWE) using NodeJS, ReactJS, Python, or Java, along with proficiency in industry-standard programming languages and frameworks.

Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, and RDS, and interfacing with real-time databases.
