Job summary

Richmond National is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build enterprise software products and solutions with cross-functional teams. You will deliver high-quality software meeting customer requirements and industry standards, while continually learning and applying new technologies.

You will design, develop, and review code, mentor others, and contribute to secure, scalable systems, with a focus on delivering reliable software in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field; preferred.
• 4-6 years of professional software development experience on complex software solutions.
• Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) or Python.
• Strong knowledge of software design principles, data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with Git and Jira.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software engineers, QA engineers, and data engineers to develop and maintain internal applications and integrations.
• Design and architect secure, scalable software systems.
• Write high-quality, efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.
• Address technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities.
• Troubleshoot and debug, ensuring smooth deployments with cloud engineers and QA.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and evaluate integration potential.
• Improve development processes and tools to boost team productivity.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies:Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS.
• Familiarity with DevOpsbestpractices and
• CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, Gitlab, and building various CI/CD pipelines for building and deploying applications.
• Previousexperience in a leadership or mentorship rolewithabilityto mentor.

Compensation

At the time of posting, the expected base salary range for this role is $125,000-$135,000annually. Additionally, this position is eligible for participation in our annual bonus program. Actual compensation will be determined by many factors, including but not limited to, location, education, certifications, qualifications, relevant experience, internal equity, business need, and any applicable minimum wage requirements.
