Description

Amazon Exports and Expansion (AEE) Tech provides capabilities for emerging market expansion and cross-border shopping worldwide. The Tech team within AEE is responsible for owning and managing systems that provide international customers broad access to the domestic retail, FBA, and MFN selection. We use systems that determine cross-border eligibility of items in Amazon’s catalog and syndicate these offers to various destination marketplaces. We leverage Machine Learning to address challenges such as compliance false positives and negatives, catalog classification specific to XB business, and selection prioritization.

Role Overview

In this role, you will lead a critical and highly-visible system for the AEE business, with the autonomy to shape the technical direction and feature roadmap. You will collaborate with talented professionals and have the opportunity to hire and develop your team. Responsibilities

• Directly hire, retain, and develop top management and engineering talent.
• Provide clear technical leadership, working with your teams to develop scalable architecture.
• Deliver high-quality technical solutions that delight customers.
• Collaborate on strategy and define a compelling product roadmap focused on growth, working with Amazon's Selection product management teams.
• Engage with customers to understand their tooling needs and help shape solutions.
• Communicate risks, successes, and challenges at the executive level, defining and executing a product vision.

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience
• 5+ years of engineering team management experience
• Experience in planning, designing, developing, and delivering consumer software
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams
• Experience managing multiple concurrent programs and projects in an Agile environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing large-scale, high-traffic applications
