  • Own a unified digital asset management solution with highly configurable and customized ingest/approval/distribution workflows that seamlessly fits into the PV, Amazon MGM Studios ecosystem and integrates with internal systems for data exchange/enrichment.
  • Leverage the latest AWS cloud technologies for database persistence, storage, compute and AWS Media Convert for media transcodes.
  • Design and implement distributed systems to handle large datasets, complex domains, and problems at Amazon scale.

About the Asset Discovery Team

The Asset Discovery team is responsible for building a proprietary digital media supply chain that is focused on ordering, storing, classifying, tagging, transcoding and managing the life cycle of very large volume of assets right from the creative phase to the final distribution. Our team’s product serves as a digital backbone for Amazon MGM Studios, which comprise of 10+ customer groups spread across 32 locales around the globe. This team maintains the large‑scale asset storage (hundreds of PB) and discovery solutions which act as a single pane of glass view of billions of videos, audio stems, trailers, documents and images.

What you will do
  • Develop and maintain secure, scalable, low‑latency and reliable services that handle the copy, transfer, transcode, media info validation, auto‑QC, storage optimization, semantic search, AI‑based metadata extraction/tagging, discoverability and life‑cycle management of an extremely large volume of media files.

About the Team

The Media Supply Chain team serves as a digital backbone that handles the post‑production workflows for all of the 1P content produced by Amazon MGM Studios. You will be joining a 2‑pizza team based out of LA, which will interact with four other sister teams that exist in the program and multiple other cross‑functional teams in the organization.

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language.
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
Benefits and Compensation

The base salary range for this position is 168,100.00 – 227,400.00 USD per year. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications and location.
