Cribl is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test. We are a fast-growing, remote-first company with a mission to unlock the value of all observability data. We are backed by Sequoia and CRV, and our products are deployed in some of the largest organizations in the world processing 100s of TB and PB of IT & Security data, managed by Site Reliability Engineers, System Engineers, and Technical Operations teams.

Responsibilities
  • Integrate with, improve, and build upon our continuous testing systems, testing automation, and reporting of quality metrics
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure proper test planning and execution is incorporated as early as possible in our release cycles
  • Identify performance bottlenecks, spot anomalous system behavior, and determine the root cause of issues
  • Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
  • This position will require stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties
Qualifications
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Software Engineer or SDET with a Computer Science degree and/or relevant experience
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS
  • Proficiency in coding across various languages
  • Proficiency in designing test frameworks/suites and developing test automation for frontend and backend; familiarity with the Playwright framework is preferred
  • Experience designing and developing tools and tests for complex customer use cases
  • Experience collaborating with Support, Sustaining, and Customer Escalations teams
  • Understanding and/or experience with data-intensive applications and data streams processing
  • Detail-oriented and dedicated to elegant, high-quality software; enjoys uncovering bugs
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to explain complex technical topics to internal and external stakeholders in remote environments
Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range ($140,000 - $160,000 CAN)

The salary for this role is dependent on geographic location and will be based on the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
