Job summary

Supermicro is hiring a senior web engineer to develop fast, scalable web applications from scratch for data center, cloud, and enterprise customers. You will optimize pages for SEO, architect reusable UI components, and drive frontend development for responsive web and mobile apps.

You will also guide releases, code reviews, and mentor junior teammates. The role requires strong PHP/MVC experience, LAMP stack proficiency, and familiarity with React, Magento, CMS platforms, and CI tools.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with LAMP stack required.
• Strong PHP & MVC framework experience (Laravel/ Zend).
• Proficient with MySQL and web servers (Apache/NGINX).
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and building SPAs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop a modern, responsive, lightning-fast web applications for Supermicro from scratch
• Optimize app pages for targeted SEO strategies
• Self-directed, self-motivated contributor, able to design and execute their own roadmap rapidly and iteratively
• Architect systems that support reuse and build libraries of components with documentation
• Develop front-ends for responsive mobile and web applications
• Guide product releases, code reviews and delegate tasks to more junior team members to ensure performance and timetables are maintained
• Stay current with trends in the industry and identify technical innovations
• Identify solutions to system performance and usability issues
• Lead the design and implementation of AI/LLM-powered agentic workflows and intelligent automation.
• Proficiency in AI agents, model-driven design, and cloud computing architecture.

Qualifications:

• BS degree in Computer Science or a related field and 8+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with LAMP stack required
• Strong experience with PHP and MVC frameworks, such as Laravel or Zend
• Experience with MySQL or related databases required
• Experience with web servers such as Apache or NGINX
• Knowledge or experience with page performance optimization, caching strategies, SQL query optimization, and SEO optimization
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and building Single Page Applications (SPAs) preferred
• Experience with React, Magento, and CMS platforms such as Drupal, WordPress, or Joomla preferred
• Experience with additional web technologies such as Sass/Less, jQuery, Node.js, AngularJS, Electron, and Cordova preferred
• Experience with Agile development and Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins, Behat, or Selenium preferred

Salary Range

140,000 - 180,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
