AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to new product features that set AWS apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers requiring specialized security solutions for their cloud services.
The AWS RDS PostgreSQL Contributors team is seeking a remote Senior PostgreSQL Engineer to provide expertise in PostgreSQL database engine internals and community collaboration. You will join a world-class team of engineers working openly with the PostgreSQL project.

Key responsibilities:
Author, review, and commit PostgreSQL core database engine code to the open source git repository. Engage in discussions about designs, architecture, bugs, and community business via mailing lists such as pgsql-hackers.

Minimum qualifications:
- 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
