The Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) team is seeking a passionate, talented, and inventive ML Engineer with a strong machine learning background to develop customization capabilities such as fine-tuning and distillation.

As a ML engineer with the AGI team, your responsibilities will include leading the development of novel LLM training techniques and optimizations to advance LLM technology. You will collaborate with Applied Scientists and utilize Amazon’s diverse data sources and large-scale computing resources to accelerate the development of multimodal Large Language Models and Generative AI solutions.

Key job responsibilities

• Investigate design approaches, prototype new technology, and evaluate technical feasibility in collaboration with team engineers.
• Work closely with Applied Scientists to process data, scale machine learning models, and optimize performance.
• Operate within an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software.
