Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join the Artificial Intelligence Security (AISec) team. You will lead the design and execution of a massively scalable security service, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable software for Amazon services.

You will mentor engineers, define best practices, and own the technology stack for critical security systems, while maintaining focus on customer-centric security engineering.

We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer who thrives at the forefront of technology, science, and security to join Artificial Intelligence Security (AISec), working with teams across Amazon to accelerate delivery of spectacular, safe, secure, models, agents, and applications.

You dive deep into of details of business, operations, and engineering. You are a deeply-technical, detail-oriented leader who can build and grow organizations and other leaders. You will have the opportunity to engage with technologies that are actively being developed. In addition to engineering teams, you will work directly with infrastructure and partner service teams.

You are proactive in removing roadblocks, pave the way for innovation, and can handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will be a positive influencer across diverse teams, be able to effectively rally support for your initiatives, and be able to help deeply technical teams create simple solutions to meet your program goals. You are able to handle business escalations with a data-driven approach.

• Building a massively scalable global security service that is core to all Amazon services.

• Serve as a technical lead on our most demanding, cross-functional projects.
• Ensure the quality of architecture and design of systems.
• Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions.
• Fully and completely understand system interdependencies and limitations.
• Possess expert knowledge in performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering best practices.
• Leverage knowledge of internal and industry prior art in design decisions.
• Effectively research and benchmark Amazon technology against other competing systems in the industry.

Basic Qualifications

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
