Who we are looking for

The candidate must have more than 7+ years of experience in IT. This role requires a Snowflake Data Engineer with strong skills in design, data modeling, development, and performance tuning. The candidate will build cloud-based data warehouse solutions for F2B clients.

Responsibilities

1. Design, build, and test end-to-end data pipelines, including ingestion, integration, and curation.
2. Develop scalable data pipelines and ETL processes on cloud infrastructure using Azure, Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, Cosmos DB.
3. Automate jobs and testing processes.
4. Optimize data pipelines for various workloads and use cases.
5. Support mission-critical applications and real-time data needs.
6. Address data and environment issues, perform impact, root cause analysis, and maintenance.
7. Implement data models, transformations, and schemas for analytics and reporting.
8. Tune Snowflake performance, including queries, resource management, and scaling.

Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite with some flexible work opportunities.

Valued Skills

• Experience with microservices architecture and cloud computing.
• API/Event-driven architecture experience.
• Troubleshooting DevOps pipelines and Azure services.
• Experience with DBT, Apache Airflow, Snowflake utilities, and handling semi-structured data.
• Expertise in Snowflake features like resource monitors, RBAC, virtual warehouses, query tuning, zero-copy cloning, and time travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a computer or IT-related field.
• 10+ years in database and data warehouse development.
• Extensive SQL development experience.
• 8+ years specifically with Snowflake and cloud development.

Additional Requirements

• Experience with Databricks or Scala is a plus.
• Financial services experience is preferred.
