Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer for the Starlink program in Hawthorne, CA. The role requires solving complex reliability challenges to deliver a high-uptime satellite internet service.

You will own critical systems, collaborate with engineers, and drive scalable, observable architectures. Candidate should have strong Linux, cloud/deploy expertise, and a TS/SCI clearance to work on sensitive missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline with 5+ years of software development experience; or 7+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• Active Top-Secret or Top-Secret SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade distributed systems to be sharded and geo-redundant across data centers.
• Advance deployment, monitoring, and alerting for multi-region environments.
• Collaborate with engineers across programs to deliver scalable, maintainable products.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from design to deployment and refinement.
• Focus on performance bottlenecks and optimization techniques.
