Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group is seeking a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer to own availability and performance of critical shared services in a fast-moving financial technology environment.

You will work across on-call rotations, incident response, and blameless postmortems while partnering with development teams to improve architectural reliability and release velocity. You will apply Terraform for IaC, Docker/Kubernetes for containerization, and Datadog/Dynatrace for observability, with CI/CD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior application support experience with a focus on site reliability engineering.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Shell or Python.
• Experience in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Hands on with Azure/AWS cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Observability tools like Datadog or Dynatrace.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Incident response and blameless post-mortems.
• Proficiency with Git workflows.

Constantly measuring and improving availability, latency, and overall system health is at the core of our team's purpose.Write automation to scale systems sustainably, prevent service issues, or when they occur, quickly recover service.Partner with development teams to improve system reliability, observability, and release velocity.Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, postmortems, and root cause analysis and resolution. Be a vocal advocate of strong/sound engineering practices that allow us to build, deploy, and run scalable, reliable, and performant services.
