As a Senior SRE Engineer, you will have a crucial role on our San Jose team, maintaining and developing core services essential for compute on the platform. What you'll Do

• Manage and improve our core compute and query service with a focus on scalability and reliability.
• Plan, design, develop, and test software systems or applications for software improvements and new products, including cloud-based or internet-related tools.
• Complete SRE and DevOps tasks to ensure the flawless operation and maintenance of our systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine and successfully implement standard methodologies in software engineering.
• Manage industry-known technologies like Spark, Kubernetes, Terraform, Mongo, Databricks, Snowflake, Elastic Search together with brand-new tech to compete at the highest level of market complexity and scale.

What you need to succeed

• Proven experience with SRE/DevOps practices (minimum 5 years).
• Good coding skills; Java is a plus.
• Experience with Unix/Linux system administration and programming.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Spark is a plus.
• Outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-based systems and internet-related tools.
