Job Description

Project Kuiper aims to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity globally. The Kuiper Government Solutions (KGS) team leverages this technology to deliver secure satellite broadband services to U.S. and allied government clients.

The Sr Signal Integrity Engineer will be integral to designing and analyzing satellite and ground systems, leading tasks from schematic design to testing, and collaborating across teams to meet customer needs with innovative solutions. The role requires experience in complex electronic circuit design, analysis, and leadership in technical projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyze electrical circuits for RF and communication payloads, including processing, memory, and communication buses.
• Utilize software tools for performance analysis, including SI and PI on PCB designs.
• Lead design trade studies and generate system-level circuit analyses.
• Validate designs through measurements and simulations, and guide layout and design for optimal SI/PI performance.
• Prepare technical reports, support test campaigns, and collaborate with hardware and software teams.

Qualifications

Basic:

• Bachelor’s in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field
• 7+ years in hardware development and electrical engineering, especially in space, aerospace, defense, automotive, or communications
• Experience with schematic and PCB design tools

Preferred:

• Master’s or PhD in relevant disciplines
• Experience with high-speed, high-reliability, and space hardware designs
• Knowledge of radiation-hardened electronics and programming skills (Python, C/C++)
• Strong communication skills and experience working with government agencies

Additional Details

This position requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance. The role is based in Los Angeles, CA, with compensation ranging from $128,600 to $213,600 annually, depending on experience and location.
