Job Summary

Supermicro is seeking a Sr. Service Technician (ST) responsible for field work in the local area, working exclusively at customer sites to resolve and repair server systems. The Sr. ST plays a critical role in post-sales support, demonstrating exceptional technical aptitude with server products and excellent interpersonal skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Primarily work in a datacenter environment at customer site.
  2. Provide on-premise field repair at customer facilities.
  3. Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed.
  4. Determine requirements and root causes of technical issues by working directly with customers.
  5. Research, locate, and provide information to answer inquiries.
  6. Perform hands-on work on servers and networking equipment.
  7. Resolve problems, escalate unresolved issues, and ensure quick, professional correction of escalation situations.
  8. Drive customer satisfaction through service excellence.
  9. Collaborate with engineers, account managers, and developers.
  10. Contribute to fault triage and training materials.
  11. Attend and complete all required training and certifications.
  12. Proficiently service and repair current and new systems.
Qualifications
  1. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  2. 4+ years of hands-on experience with servers (Supermicro, EMC, DELL, HP) is a plus.
  3. Experience in customer communication and conflict resolution.
  4. Touch-type 40+ WPM.
  5. Relevant experience, including military or CLEP, may count towards degree.
  6. Background in Linux or networking is a plus.
  7. Ability to travel up to 15 days per year.
  8. Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
Salary Range

$30.00/hr - $50.00/hr, depending on factors such as location, experience, education, and skills. Benefits and additional compensation may apply.
