Data Center Engineering (DCE)- Security Solutions Engineering team is looking for a highly talented and motivated Security Systems Engineer with expertise in computer vision technologies. In this role, you are responsible for designing, configuring, and troubleshooting advanced security systems, including IP surveillance cameras, computer vision solutions, access control systems, intrusion detection systems, and all other security facing systems as needed. This role requires a blend of technical network expertise, strong computer vision background, and a deep understanding of physical security technology and industry standards.

Scope of work includes complex integrations of security systems involving multiple teams inside and outside the organization. You will be developing and implementing computer vision algorithms for security applications, optimizing camera systems and video analytics for enhanced threat detection. The role also involves security system design and engineering, working with the data center architectural and engineering teams to assure security best practices are observed. You'll be drafting new systems into the design teams build plans and specifications, and coordinating with regional and local physical security leaders to understand the new building and security system designs.

The ideal candidate should have experience with computer vision frameworks, IP camera systems and video management software, as well as applications of advanced image processing in security contexts. Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, security protocols, and physical security systems integration is essential. Familiarity with machine learning techniques as applied to video analytics is a plus. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply innovative computer vision technologies to enhance data center security solutions while working with state-of-the-art surveillance and access control systems.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Design and engineer comprehensive security systems incorporating access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and related technologies.
  2. Develop and optimize computer vision solutions and video analytics to enhance security system capabilities.
  3. Design and configure advanced camera systems, including layout planning, field of view optimization, and integration with video management platforms.
  4. Implement image processing algorithms and video analytics tools to improve threat detection and monitoring effectiveness.
  5. Collaborate with data center architectural and engineering teams to integrate security requirements into facility designs.
  6. Develop technical specifications and build plans for security system implementations.
  7. Partner with regional and local physical security leaders to align security solutions with facility requirements.
  8. Lead complex system integration projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  9. Evaluate new security technologies and recommend solutions that enhance facility protection.
  10. Create detailed technical documentation for security systems and configurations.
  11. Troubleshoot and optimize performance of video surveillance and computer vision systems.
  12. Provide technical guidance to project teams during implementation phases.
  13. Domestic and international travel approximately 25% of the time.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physical Security or related technical field.
  2. 8+ years of experience in security systems, integration, hardware development engineering or similar role.
  3. Strong knowledge of IP networking, including TCP/IP protocols and network architecture related to physical security systems.
  4. Demonstrated experience with enterprise security systems (Access Control, Video Management, Intrusion Detection).
  5. Proven experience in designing and implementing computer vision solutions for security applications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Master's degree in relevant field, particularly with focus on computer vision or image processing.
  2. Professional security certifications (PSP, CPP, CISSP).
  3. Experience with advanced computer vision frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and deep learning applications.
  4. Advanced knowledge of camera systems, optics, and imaging sensors.
  5. Experience with data center or critical infrastructure security.
  6. Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning.
  7. Knowledge of building management systems and integration protocols.
