Job summary

ITC Digital Solutions in Indianapolis, Indiana, seeks a Senior Security Engineer to join the Aerospace Security Engineering Team. You will monitor security tools, respond to incidents, and help maintain client IT infrastructures for government-facing environments.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with enterprise SIEM and IDS platforms is a plus.
• Aerospace/defense industry familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the health of security tools and take action as needed.
• Respond to incidents by taking appropriate action on tools within the Security Engineering Team's remit.
• Triage requests from the Engineering Team mailbox and Service Management intake queue, ensuring ownership.
• Maintain integrity of client IT infrastructures and availability of security toolkit infrastructure.
• Support security tools and platforms including SIEM, IDPS, GVM, and malware protection.
• Log and respond to health alerts from the security infrastructure.
• Configure and adjust policies in response to incidents and client requests.
• Troubleshoot security tools affecting business applications.
• Follow core IT Service Management principles.
• Develop understanding of information security principles including malware analysis and vulnerability management.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required, along with eligibility to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
• 5–7 years of experience working as a security engineering specialist in a SOC environment.
• Experience supporting a large global enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of information security, including malware, emerging threats, attack techniques, and vulnerability management.
• Customer service experience, including resolving escalations and handling incident responses.
• Cloud security experience is a plus.
• Programming or scripting experience with languages such as C, .NET, Python, or Perl is a plus.
• Previous experience with Unix/Linux and the vi editor is a plus.
• Relevant certifications are an asset, including CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, GCFA, GPEN, GCCF, CISA, CWSP, CCSP, CCNP, MSCE, Security+, or certifications in vulnerability analysis, ethical hacking, or penetration testing.
• Experience with change control, problem and incident management, and troubleshooting security solutions is a plus.
• Technical proficiency with at least one enterprise SIEM platform, such as ArcSight, Envision, Q1 Radar, or Nitro Security, and one enterprise network intrusion detection system, such as HP Tipping Point, Sourcefire, or McAfee, is a plus.
• Familiarity with the aerospace, defense, or complex manufacturing industries is a plus.
