Job summary

Amazon Security is hiring a senior software engineering leader to own the vision and architecture for secure development products. You will work with customers, partner teams, and foundational engineers to understand needs and implement scalable security solutions across the Amazon ecosystem.

You will coach and grow a highly qualified engineering team, communicate effectively, and translate customer obsession into secure, productive experiences.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• 5+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment.

What you will do:

You will own the vision and architecture for products that will enforce and enable secure development at Amazon. You will work closely with your customers, partner teams, and foundational engineering teams to ensure the needs of your customers are clearly understood and effectively addressed. You will collaborate with the senior leadership team to drive key engineering and business decisions that achieve the right outcomes. Since our systems are foundational to the Amazon ecosystem, you will also have the opportunity to learn about various businesses across Amazon.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
