A day in the life

As a Software Development Engineer on this team, you will create software designs and implementation for medium‑to‑large scale projects across security and compliance engineering. You will work directly with creative, product management and program management to understand and define requirements and apply your technical expertise to solve difficult software problems in a fast‑paced environment. You'll design and build software and systems for novel customer experiences, AWS services, and large‑scale back‑end web services, all with the goal of delivering a seamless experience to the customer.

The Security & Compliance Engineering (SCE) team team builds innovative solutions that elevate security standards and streamline compliance across Amazon. We develop state‑of‑the‑art platforms and tools that enable secure‑by‑default development, automate security assurance, provide data‑driven risk insights, and detect fraud earlier in the attack lifecycle. By partnering closely with security teams and builders, we transform manual processes into automated, scalable solutions that protect Amazon's customers and business.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
