Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) / Quality Engineering Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on SDET / Quality Engineering Engineer with 8+ years of overall QE and test automation experience to drive quality initiatives across web applications, APIs, and backend systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in designing and implementing scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and Python, with TypeScript experience considered a strong advantage.

This role requires strong technical proficiency in end-to-end test automation, API validation, database testing, test case design, and CI/CD integration. The candidate should be capable of independently driving automation strategies while collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and quality engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

8+ years of overall Quality Engineering / Testing experience.
5+ years of hands-on test automation experience.

Hands-on experience in API automation and validation.
Experience in Database testing, SQL query development, and data verification.
Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC).
Experience designing and executing manual and automated test cases.
Hands-on experience with defect management and test management tools.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with TypeScript and Playwright TypeScript-based frameworks.
Experience with BDD frameworks and test automation design patterns.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
Experience with cloud-based testing environments.
Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker.
Exposure to performance and security testing concepts.
